WHAT'S HAPPENING IN JEFFERSON CITY?

Join the Democratic Legislative Network!

What you can do for Missourians this week:

We passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure deal, and it’s a big deal. As Democrats, we have to make some noise about this and make sure others know what the BIF does for them. Share this INFORMATION in your social networks.

This past legislative session Republicans in #moleg passed HB 85, also known as the Second Amendment Preservation Act. This is bad legislation that keeps guns in the hands of abusers and stops police from investigating violent crime. Call your Representative and tell them that removing SAPA from MO law is a priority.

Our Public Schools

Are you comfortable with the campaigns to pare down which historic facts are taught in schools, to limit real-world diverse perspective in lesson plans and classroom conversation, to whitewash the content of the school libraries?

This week, on Thursday Nov 18, Missouri Prosper is hosting a Public Education listening session – 6-8 p.m., 18 N Central Dr, O'Fallon

Missouri Prosper is a pro-privatization, anti-truth-in-education conservative parent group. They are supporting the Republican nationwide campaign to defund public education and to control/eliminate equity education through state legislation, and have given a platform to Republican legislators for their manufactured crisis about Critical Race Theory. Meetings like these to garner support for anti-diversity/equity/inclusion legislation are popping up all over the state. If you support public education and our public educators, you will want to attend this “listening session.” Follow the Face Book event page for meeting and scheduling updates: https://www.facebook.com/events/4701485216552509
