"I was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the daughter of a construction worker and a stay-at-home mom. I grew up in Oshkosh where I was awarded a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in education. Unable to afford to live on a teacher salary, I went into retail management and ultimately relocated to the Washington, DC area. Since I have been in Missouri, I have worked in the HR field in various capacities including recruiting, employee relations, unemployment and workers compensation.
I have served as the president of the Lewis & Clark Society of Human Resources Management organization and the State Director of the State of Missouri SHRM. We are members of New Hope Presbyterian Church where I serve as an Elder and head of the Missions committee. I am active with the St Charles Democratic Committee; I serve on the Candidate Advisory Committee and am a member of the MDP LGBTQ+ and MDP Women’s Caucus."
