TIRED OF COVID-19 INFORMATION? IF THIS INFORMATION HELPS ONE PERSON, IT IS WORTH IT. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FORWARD THIS TO YOUR FRIENDS AND SHARE IT IN YOUR SOCIAL NETWORK. Per the CDC HERE'S WHAT WE CAN EXPECT POST-VACCINATION:

MISSOURI COVID-19 VACCINE RESOURCES As more vaccine opportunities continue to open up in the eastern MO metro area, the state continues to urge people to register for a vaccine with both the state and the county, as well as with local hospitals, and get in line. VACCINE NAVIGATOR Sign up here: MO Vaccine Navigator or call the state’s COVID-19 hotline at 877-435-8411 for assistance in connecting with additional avenues in which to receive a vaccine. MISSOURI MASS VACCINATION EVENTS MAP This map shows Missouri by region, with vaccinators identified, and scheduled mass events where available. Click here for the map: MO Mass Vaccination Events . Events may be listed by the type of vaccine available, may include a link for “local” registration at the county level, or may be drawing from those who are already in the pre-registered queue. ST CHARLES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH For questions about COVID-19 or assistance with registering to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, please call the Information Hotline at 636-949-1899, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mon-Fri. Whatever phase you are in, you can sign up NOW to be placed in a virtual queue. The registration survey is accessible in a red box marked “Register for COVID-19 Vaccine” following this link: https://www.sccmo.org/2162/COVID-19-Vaccine-Information We urge you to also sign up through your health care provider’s hospital affiliation (such as SSM, Mercy or BJC) and create a MyChart account, so that you can receive a vaccination in the timeliest manner. Area hospitals which also have sign-up sites for vaccines are: BJC: https://www.bjc.org/Coronavirus/Covid-19-Vaccines Mercy: https://www.mercy.net/forms/vaccinations/ SSM: https://mychart.ssmhc.com/mychart/ St. Lukes: https://lukesvaccine.com/ When your phase is reached and enough vaccine has been allocated to the DPH, you will receive an email or automated voice message telling you that you can schedule an appointment for a vaccine. Please check your email (inbox and spam folders) and phone messages daily for notification. It is important for you to understand that appointment time slots are limited. Respond quickly. The message will include information about the appointment, the vaccine administered, and how to contact the DPH if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. “CROWD-SOURCED” VACCINE INFORMATION

  • Walgreens, and Walmart are having intermittent vaccine availability across the state, and provide search options on their websites, after you have created an account with them.

  • Hy-Vee in central MO has conducted clinics, and locations can be identified at https://www.hy-vee.com/my-pharmacy/covid-vaccine

  • “Medicine Shoppe” franchises have had availability, and can be identified by Googling “Medicine Shoppe” and a town name, and then going the store’s website or making a phone call.

  • Vaccine Spotter - https://www.vaccinespotter.org/MO/ is a search tool highlighting vaccine opportunities across the state.

  • Find the Face Book pages of surrounding county Health Departments, ”like” them and follow them – if they are having vaccination events and expect to have left-over vaccines, they have used Face Book to make a last-minute announcement.

  • For those who need or prefer to schedule by phone:

St. Louis Public Radio has a hotline to help with scheduling an appointment for vaccination. Call 314-516-6430 and select your geographic area (STL City, STL County, St. Charles, Jefferson, Lincoln, Franklin, Warren, Metro East, & Polk). They will give you numbers to call to schedule a vaccine appointment in your area. FRUSTRATED? CALL GOV MIKE PARSON - (573) 751-3222

Action items from the Missouri House Democratic Legislative Network (DLN):

When they come back this week from Spring Break, the Missouri Senate is poised to debate two dangerous bills that could effectively shut down the ballot initiative process for Missourians. Certain politicians are no longer satisfied with only reversing the will of the people. They want to end direct democracy and silence us. Missouri’s initiative petition process is a constitutional right that has worked for over a century. Because certain politicians are afraid of the power of the people, they are trying to destroy this right.

Here’s what they’re trying to do:

*Charge you a $500 fee just to start the process

*Shorten the period of time in which you can gather signatures

*Increase the required number of signatures by hundreds of thousands

*Require a ⅔ supermajority vote to become law, instead of a simple majority

We have fought against - and stopped - bills like this before. We can - and must - do so again. Please, contact your state senator NOW to stop these anti-democratic bills and protect the ballot initiative process.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Guns everywhere bill: The gun lobby is pushing a dangerous "guns everywhere" bill that would put every Missouri resident at high risk of gun violence. Call your Rep and sign the petition to let Missouri lawmakers know you OPPOSE HB 86! Why HB 86 is so dangerous: *It would force colleges and universities to allow people to carry concealed handguns on their campuses *It would allow people to carry concealed handguns in daycares, and elementary, middle, and high schools *It would allow people to carry concealed handguns in bars (despite overwhelming public opposition and alcohol's association with increased aggression) *It would undermine private property owners' rights by allowing people to bring hidden, loaded handguns onto private property—even if the owner has posted a "no guns allowed" sign Call your Rep. Find your Rep here: Find Your Rep Petition: https://act.everytown.org/sign/MO-reject-HB-86/?fbclid=IwAR1soYza6hPvyRstksmWg6ukEzChL52erW5WOFEEiiNJ0i0l1EZSjJnubZ0
